Fruit of the Spirit

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self - control." - Galatians 5:22 -23

During my early years of Christianity, I was constantly wrestling with Scripture. The only time I felt the production of "good fruit" was when I was interacting with the Lord. Around God, I always felt joyful, patient, and experienced inner peace. Accept that I wasn't feeling or seeing "good fruit" in or around my life.

The only fruit present in my life was things like anxiety, anger, fear, loss of control, chaos, and shame. I had been through things I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Around that time, the Lord started pressing on my heart to let certain things go. Things like trying to control things, fighting in court over kids. That was hard for me because my problems involved my children. Still, the Lord was adamant; He wanted me to put a stop to the never-ending custody wars. So I did what the Lord wanted, and before I knew it, with a lot of daily intentional prayers, those custody situations worked themselves out. Because of my obedience, God was able to work His magic in and around my life.

Months led to years. Before I knew it, my life had a completely new narrative. All the inner "bad fruit" I once felt no longer existed. The Lord worked in every area of my life — internally and externally. Now it's not possible for me to produce anything bad. All my problems have disappeared.

Fruit of the Spirit isn't produced overnight. It truly depends on what your life has been like. Your past and where you are now. For me, it was more about what this life had turned me into and how deeply scarred I was internally. God couldn't restore me overnight. But that's what is so beautiful about our relationship with the Lord. He has all the time in the world to turn you and your storyline into a beautiful masterpiece.

Your walk home - into the light with God, will be filled with all kinds of inner and outer transformation. It truly is a sacred journey. Remember that with every act of obedience to Christ's teachings and learning to do things God's way, you are one step closer to being in the light. Feelings such as fear, anxiety, worry, stress, anger, even hatred will start to melt away.

The fruit of the Spirit is proof that the Holy Spirit dwells within you.

"Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit... Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." - Matthew 7:17 - 20

God

My relationship with God has changed the way I understand Scripture. I know Scripture is 100% accurate, but when I read it, I see the big picture. I see God's plan and the Trinity's storyline.

After many encounters with God, I made it my mission to understand Him and what He intended for us. After nine years of intense study and strict obedience to Christ's teachings and God's ways, this is what unfolded:

In Genesis:

God creates light on Day 1, while the sun, moon, and stars aren't appointed until Day 4. He saw that the light was good, and God divided the light from the darkness.

People hear the verse in Genesis about the creation of light, and everyone skips over the wording or assumes God is talking about sunlight. He wasn't talking about the sun; He was talking about how He created the light, a real place spiritually. In the light, we are not separated from God, but in darkness, we are separated from Him.

Since we have been given free will, we have the choice to either find the light and get back into it, or continue living in darkness with the enemy and agree to eternal separation from God.

As it was in the beginning and is today, obedience to God is required for us to return to the light with Him.

Being born into darkness has changed our original nature. God knew the impact that living in darkness would have on us. He knew we would not only need Him to teach us the way back into the light, but also to show us what living in the light looks like, and to finally pay the price for past, present, and future sins.

That is how the Holy Trinity was formed.

First, Jesus was sent to us. It is our obedience to His teachings that literally walks us back into the light with God. Every time we obey a teaching, we are one step closer to getting in the light. Jesus was and is perfect; He is the light Himself. And it was Jesus who paid the price for all His followers' past, present, and future sins.

Jesus also knew that our flesh would fight against itself and that we weren't capable of undergoing the sanctification process needed to return to the light without God's help. He also knew the powers of darkness would try to destroy anyone trying to return to the light.

Before Jesus' resurrection, He told us He would send a helper, the Holy Spirit, so that whoever believes and is baptized with water would have Him dwelling within them. To personally walk each and every believer back into the light with God.

John 12:46

"I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness."

Supernatural Encounter with Jesus and God the Father:

Jesus brought me up to meet the Father. The Father spoke one sentence to me, "We were only trying to keep people safe."

The Father spoke in a male voice; his tone sounded as though He had done everything He could to help us all get safely back into the light. It is now time for each and every one of us to understand these truths and make the ultimate decision.

Do you want to stay in darkness with the enemy, or choose to allow the Holy Spirit to walk you back into the light with God?

Realization - Obedience

Reflection - Obedience

I'm so thankful for my walk with Jesus. This journey has given me inner strength in ways I never imagined. I'm not chasing after the wrong wants and desires anymore. I don't budge on my loyalty to God, my morals, or beliefs. So, if a person or situation doesn't line up with me, I know it's not for me. God's ways and Jesus' teachings have kept me safe from people with the wrong motives.

For example, my ex and I are really close. We broke up because I wanted to follow Jesus and do things God's way. He wasn't ready to be that extreme, so I ended things, but we remained really close friends. He was the person I would call to share all that the Lord was doing in and around my life.

When he started hinting at getting back together, I thought that meant my morals, values, and beliefs would be honored and respected. After all, he knows how close I am to God and the Trinity. So, we planned a trip to see each other.

Except he suddenly started being super flirtatious with me; I felt the Lord say, "Pay attention." Things were definitely starting to feel disrespectful. Some of the things he would say made me cringe. And I knew I wasn't the only one hearing all of it.

Things change big time when you know for certain that the Holy Spirit is with you.

So, I knew I had to have "the talk" with him. I reminded him that I'm always going to follow Jesus and do things God's way. And that when I go see him, I wasn't going to be doing anything with him in the bedroom. Then, his tone changed. He said, "Well, I need to think about this." He went on and on about the need for intimacy before marrying someone. He needed to know if there was chemistry, etc.

Feeling puzzled, I said, "We were together on and off for eight years; what else is there to find out?" Then he proceeded to tell me everything he believes is right in a relationship. I just stayed quiet and thought to myself, yeah, you know we have chemistry; what else is there to find out?

As he continued to get upset with me about my morals and beliefs, something inside me shifted. Suddenly I could see through him. The real him was exposed, and I didn't want anything to do with him, I didn't even want to be associated with him. So, I ended the conversation saying, "I'm sorry, but my loyalty is with God."

After we hung up, I wanted to text him, "How dare you lead me on, knowing how close I am with the Lord?" I wanted to tell him how cruel he was. I was so angry, but I knew better than to start any chaos or drama.

Once Jesus walks you back into the light with God, you can't start an argument that leads to chaos and drama because it will cause you to fall back into darkness with the enemy. I had no choice but to sit and reflect.

By not snapping back at him via text, I had a realization. What was there to say? He said everything I needed to know while on the phone. Responding would have signaled there was something worth fighting for. I'm not fighting to be with someone like that. But I wouldn't have known that's how I truly felt if I wasn't actively walking in obedience.

There's nothing worse than realizing an entire decade was wasted on a man who only cares about his own wants and desires. Not to mention, his complete lack of love and respect for God was enough to make me walk away and never look back.

I know who I am, and I refuse to compromise who I've become for another person who refuses to get out of darkness.

I know I didn't grow a strong backbone overnight. It happened over time with intentional acts of obedience. Little by little, doing things God's way rebuilt me into the woman I was always meant to be.

Obedience may seem crazy and extreme in the beginning, but I promise there's a version of yourself you never knew existed. Not to mention real love from the most amazing supernatural family just waiting to walk you home.

Made to Be His

Made to Be His

Have you ever wondered why the very things you excel at never get used? I felt that way all my life. In many ways, those understandings made me feel unseen and unappreciated. Like the very things I was amazing at, no one else seemed to notice, and I certainly wasn't getting to use them in everyday life.

Fast-forward nine years into my walk with the Lord, and it dawned on me that God is using all the skills I excel at. Every bit of my untapped talent is now being used for His glory. I mean, everything I am good at is getting used.

Then it hit me: God feels the same way we do. He's with us, but we don't see Him; most of us don't even know His abilities. He can do anything, achieve anything, create anything, heal anything, restore anything, transform anything, and the list goes on.

We think we know what to do regarding our lives. Except we weren't created to navigate this world alone. When we walk with the Lord, God is present. Not only does He know the untapped talent lying within each one of us, but He also brings it to the surface. And all at the same time, I was learning about the wonderful abilities God possesses. He used His abilities to completely redesign my life. Not only my life externally, but He also redesigned who I am internally.

Now, I see humans and God as a unit. We go together; He made us for Him. When we give Him our time and respect, beautiful stories get written. He made each and every one of us "one of a kind." There isn't a person on the planet who can help us reach our true potential. Only God can access the innermost parts of our being, and when we give Him access, He brings all of our talents and abilities to the surface. And He does so by using all of His talents and abilities. It really is the most beautiful reality about how God and humanity flow together.

Only then will we ever truly feel loved and seen. There isn't a single person or institution that can develop who we were meant to be; it's not possible. We can't even begin to know the real us; it takes God to introduce us to ourselves, and only then can He start shaping and developing who He created us to be.

If you feel everything you are amazing at never gets to shine, start your journey home with the Lord. We all fit together like a beautiful puzzle. We complement each other in ways you can't even imagine.

The journey home back into the light is filled with so many wonderful truths and discoveries. If only I could go back and relive my life with God from the start, I would.

Total Restoration

Total Restoration

It recently occurred to me that all the areas of my life have been changed and directly impacted by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. So, when I heard someone talking about the fruit of the Spirit, it occurred to me that I would never have shown any outward signs of "real fruit" in my life if I hadn't turned away from my old ways and back to the Lord's way.

The truth was blatantly obvious. I wasn't capable of feeling true joy, love, patience, gentleness, or goodness because of the life I once lived. My life made me rigid, mean, and judgmental.

For example, most of my life was filled with trauma and instability. I had a terrible past filled with broken relationships, no trust, no faith, no truth about the world or spiritual matters. I survived emancipation at sixteen years of age, lived in survival mode the majority of my life, a year or two of homelessness, unplanned pregnancies, abortions, drugs and partying, marriage/divorce, child custody battles, controlling and abusive relationships, adultery, mental health struggles, physical health struggles, and three neurological traumas all before age thirty - five.

Except now my life is very different. I'm always happy, peaceful, patient, gentle, good, and have real joy. So I wrote out all the areas of my life where God showed up and taught me His ways. It was through my small acts of obedience and following His lead daily that my life was eventually turned into what I consider a work of art. Because that's what it feels like when you give your life back to God and turn from your old ways.

Allowing the Holy Spirit to have His way in your life is what ultimately brings forth fruit of the Spirit.

If you live by your own rules, you will have drama and distractions; you will not act in godly ways. But if you implement the teachings of Christ and do things God's way, He will begin to work in all the broken areas until you realize there's nothing to be sad, mad, or have hatred about.

Real love for God, yourself, and others resurfaces along with joy, peace, patience, long suffering, gentleness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Because that is what the Bible calls fruit of the Spirit.

So, I listed all the areas the Lord has restored in and throughout my life over the last nine years.

I followed wherever I felt the Holy Spirit was leading me, and together we worked on things little by little. Now I understand what the fruit of the Spirit truly means, and it took a lot of internal and external work to receive it and understand it.

Internal restoration:

- How I see the world

- True repentance

- True forgiveness of myself and others

- What is true about me

- I understand belief systems and where they stem from

- I understand the Spiritual war

- I understand the Holy Trinity

- The big picture about Biblical doctrine

- Worldly understandings

- Understand how sin affects our mind, soul, God, and eternity

- Mental health and how it occurs

- How neurological function starts to decline and where it thrives

- I know what darkness means and how we all fell into it

- How to find the light and stay in it

- What it takes to walk out of darkness

- Mental organization and how to categorize what I've been taught

- I learned my worth and value

- I learned about God's skills and character and how they complement and belong together

External Restoration:

- No chaos anywhere

- Relationships have been repaired

- Strive for peace with every situation

- Career has been restored

- Credit/finances have been restored

- Child custody issues have been resolved

- Everything is clean and organized - my home, my car, my mind, etc.

Spiritual restoration:

- I understand that obedience keeps me safe in the light with God

- Outward obedience to the Commandments and Christ's teachings is implemented daily

- Daily prayer life

- Actively working with the Holy Spirit every day

- Follow whereverJesus leads me

- I trust God's plan for my life and consult everything with Him beforehand.

- Know when I receive direction to move forward

- I work hard not to push people away from God and the Word

- Glorifying God daily through every aspect of my life - My body, my mind, the music I listen to, the shows I watch and listen to, how I treat people,ople and my relationships.

- Through my ministry - I share my story with the Trinity with all family and friends, website, blogs, podcasts, book, and speaking events.

This isn't everything that's been restored. It's just to give you an idea of how the fruit of the Spirit is produced. The craziest part is that as these things were happening, I never felt overwhelmed. I just stayed focused on God. Little by little, every area of my life started to shape up. And before I knew it, everything felt cleaned out, organized, and understood. I had no choice but to feel peace and joy; all my problems disappeared.

The me today is nothing like the me nine years ago. I always wanted to be this version of myself, but it all felt unattainable. Now I am the real me, and I also know who helped me get here.

Life doesn't have to stay where it's at. God wants you to be part of His family. He is the most amazing Father. He has completely changed my life in ways I never imagined. My walk with Jesus means everything to me. He is always leading me in the right direction. And when I mess up, He gently guides me back to the right path. This is a transformative journey in every way.

To me, the best part is knowing God and each member of the Trinity. They are my family, and I trust all of them with every part of my life. I feel seen, heard, loved, guided, protected, and restored. They will never give up on you. Never lose faith and always keep pushing forward. One day, you too will look up and say WOW this is more than I could have EVER asked for.

Mental Health

Being honest about the state of our mental health isn't always easy. We can feel the need to look and act a certain way in front of others, only to fall apart behind closed doors. That's what my experience was like. Pretending as though I was fine, except I was spiraling in private.

In 2018, I became the victim of medical malpractice. I had a doctor treat me for drop foot after my cerebellar stroke. He injected seven syringes of cortisone steroids into the arches of my feet. He overdosed me, and while on my drive home from his office, I started thinking there were hidden messages in the music.

Within twenty-four hours, I didn't know my own name, and I thought I was thirty years into the future. I dealt with extreme anxiety, fear, paranoia, seizures, delusions, tactile hallucinations, visual hallucinations, a shattered reality, and to top it off — I felt thrown into the spiritual world.

I remember being told I may never recover from what happened to me. I feared I would end up in some facility for the rest of my life. Every day I feared I was never going to heal mentally; I felt too far gone. But that's when Jesus started showing up.

Jesus told me that God, His Father, designed the brain. He gave me a choice: continue living in darkness, where I would always battle my mental health, or walk with Him back into the light, where there is no mental illness. It was that decision that ultimately changed the entire trajectory of my life.

Please note there are a lot of misunderstandings regarding mental health and God. Some people think if you're on medication, you aren't right with God. That's a lie. It was God who told me to increase one of my medications, and because of that encounter, I started getting better. Once I got better, I was then able to focus on Jesus and what He was teaching me.

I also learned that it's impossible to implement Jesus' teachings if you're mentally unwell. So it's extremely important to have mental stability for many reasons, but when it comes to God and getting back into the light with Him, you really have to know what's going on so you can truly focus on Him and what He wants you to do, not only that, but to enjoy your spiritual journey home.

It was difficult to accept that mental health problems were the number one indicator of where I was living spiritually — in darkness or the light. It took me a long time to understand what that truly meant. My understanding is that we are all in darkness because of the Biblical event at the beginning of time: the story of Adam and Eve. That event plummeted all of humanity into darkness. Darkness is the breeding ground for all mental illness.

Ultimately, I knew I had to make a choice: it was my free will to decide whether to remain in darkness and continue suffering or to begin my journey home into the light with the Holy Spirit. I chose to walk with the Lord back into the light. And to my surprise, I found out that when we get back into the light, our brain completely renews itself. There is no mental illness in the light.

There is no end to darkness, and everyone resides at their own personal level. The only way to get back into the light with God is by following Jesus. He walks us home back into the light and out of darkness completely. That is why His Father sent Him to us — to show us the way home back into the light with God. Without Jesus, we wouldn't know the way home back into the light. It is His teachings that lead us out of darkness. Obedience was never about control; it was always about our safety. When we respect God and do things His way, we stay safely in His light. Choosing to do things our own way drops us down into darkness with the enemy. We are all being attacked by the forces in the spiritual world. Their goal is to make us sick by attacking our brain.

Walking with Jesus

True believers follow Jesus. We are "His" sheep, and we know that following Him means obeying every single one of His teachings. We know it is a spiritual journey back into the light, and that every act of obedience brings us one step closer to freedom from darkness. We look for Him, and hear Him, and try to be like Him. We get immersed in the journey because walking with Jesus brings this planet back to life. We see this journey as a supernatural spiritual renewal — full of inner and outer transformation.

Following Jesus makes us feel understood, loved, and cared for. We know He is leading us home. And we will never forget the darkness we were in, and that, no matter how bad our situations seemed, Jesus jumped into our mess and rescued us by fixing all the impossible problems in and around our lives.

Jesus says, "My sheep know my voice; I am the good shepherd," "I am the way and the truth and the life," and "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."

Jesus also calls Himself "the good shepherd." Throughout Scripture, we are compared to sheep. Some are currently on the path home, back into the light, while others are still lost in darkness, needing rescue.

When Jesus states, "my sheep know my voice," I feel He is referring to those who walk in obedience to His ways. We understand His terminology about the world. We see the need to return to the light with God, and that obedience is the only way home. We know we need to be saved from this planet; we know there's real meaning to our being here, and that something went terribly wrong from the start.

You don't need a seminary degree or to be a Biblical scholar to see the obvious condition of this planet. All my life I knew something was off about this planet. Yet, I didn't pick up a Bible until I was thirty-five years old.

Those of us who understand are eternally thankful for God the Father. We know His love for us is immeasurable. We know He refused to let those of us who are willing to hear the truth and want to return home to Him go down with this sinking ship. We know He sent Jesus here to rescue all the people who love Him and don't want to be separated from Him.

How lucky are we that our God refused to let us go down with this planet.

Now, I see the Trinity as the ultimate rescue team. I know God has come back for "His" people. Those of us who believe He is real, know He is real, see Him in everything, want to know Him, and are willing to fight our way back to Him. God is the ultimate meaning of true love; He never gives up on anyone searching for Him and the truth.

Those who don't belong to Him yet are easy to spot. They don't know anything about God or the members of the Trinity. They don't care to understand His ways or what it means to live a life of obedience. They are unaware that obedience is what keeps us in the light—that it's for our safety. Never have they encountered the supernatural. They have a hard time believing such things even exist. They are too preoccupied with their own life and their own ways/beliefs. They accept the world and refuse to see reality for what it is. And even still, God loves them too and wants them to learn the truth so they can get out of darkness before it's too late.

So, if you don't know the history of this planet but you want to understand what's going on. I encourage you to take time to learn the truth. It's the most important decision you will ever make.

Visions

Visions

Over the years, I've had several encounters with the Lord. I want to share them with you because I feel these visions apply to all of us. After you read about this, place the vision into your own life as though Jesus had personally given it to you. I feel that is why I received the visions in the first place, to share them with others.

Many years ago I decided to seek the truth about where we come from. It was right after I had a cerebellar stroke that I knew for sure Jesus was real. He showed up shortly after my trauma to let me know He was walking with me and was keeping me here to have a relationship with Him. I didn't know anything about His ways back then, but I was excited to know He was real and that He wanted me here.

As Jesus started teaching me, I received my first vision from Him. I saw His hands, and He tapped all that was around me. Instantly, I knew what He wanted me to do for others. The exact teaching was to learn to be selfless by doing for others.

Months went by, and I received another vision. This time, it was a beautiful, bright white book in the sky, open. On the left page was a single image of Jesus. On the right page was everything I believed in and considered real and true. He let me know immediately that where He was taking me, all of those beliefs couldn't come with me. In essence, I had to unlearn all the worldly ways/beliefs and relearn Christ's ways and terminology to understand what was being taught to me.

You should know that when my journey with Jesus started, I had just endured three traumatic injuries to my brain in less than a five-year period. I thought receiving visions and knowing what they meant was enough. I thought that's what it was all about — knowing the truth. Then the visions stopped. It took me a long time to connect the dots. However, I eventually realized He was waiting for me to obey the teachings from the visions.

Every supernatural encounter, for me, was about teaching me the correct way to live my life. I wasn't biblically aligned in any way back then. But once I started applying those visions/teachings, that's when everything changed. I realized so many truths during that time.

Applying these visions to your life might seem difficult. Don't let them discourage you. It's the start of an amazing journey with Jesus as He walks you back into the light with God. It isn't supposed to be easy; it's a personal growth journey. His ways challenge us and introduce us to our real self — the you who was originally created to walk in the light as a child of God.

There is nothing more profound than getting to know Jesus and the Trinity for yourself. You will learn about where you come from, who you belong to, how loved you are, and most of all, you will learn all about God and just how majestic He really is. So, go all in! Give them your undivided attention; work daily implementing the teachings of Christ. If you stumble, and you will, I did, get back up and start again.

Please know that if you have a traumatic past and feel it is hard to do things Jesus' way. Shift your reasoning and do it for God. That's what I had to do. Certain teachings were difficult because I had been hurt pretty badly by those closest to me. I didn't think I would ever be healed enough to be the person God was calling me to be. That's when I caved. I flat-out said I couldn't do it for me, but I would do it for God.

Over time, my hardened heart began to soften. So, get in the habit of asking the Lord for help in how to see the situation correctly from His perspective. You will learn so many beautiful truths about the reality of life and the why behind all that's happened to you.

So, seek the answers to your life, ask the difficult questions, keep a journal, and write how you feel as you embark on this amazing journey. Trust me, you will want to look back one day and remember all the wonderful shifts in your perspective. Because how you view yourself, the world, and God in the present will be completely different in the future.

Why lying is dangerous

The Lord taught me that, from a worldly perspective, lying has many negative effects on the body. It raises our cortisol and affects our stress response. It affects our energy and mood. Not only that, but it affects our self-esteem. Over time, it chips away at who we are internally. We lose our voice, and once that's gone, we feel the real us isn't good enough because we've conditioned ourselves to believe that lying is the only way.

When the Lord explained lying from a sin perspective, he taught me that lying was not only wrong but could make the difference in a life-or-death situation. When we get into the habit of lying about little things, we will then lie about the big things because it becomes second nature to us. Not only that, it's manipulative, deceitful, wrong, and people eventually get hurt.

* I watched a documentary one time where this couple was taking a road trip in their R.V. They started fighting, and the situation turned domestic. As they were fighting, a cop decided to pull them over for speeding. When he went to talk to them, the girlfriend was crying and looked distraught. He asked her if everything was alright with her and the boyfriend. Instead of being honest with the cop, she lied and said everything was fine. The cop then wrote them a ticket, and off they went. Well, the boyfriend ended up driving them somewhere remote, and he killed the girlfriend. If she had been honest with the cop, she would still be here today. Yes, someone would have gone to jail, but the point is she would be alive today if she had just been honest.

I challenge you to not tell a single lie. It's not as easy as you think. And don't get discouraged when the truth surfaces. I, too, did this challenge, and I, too, failed miserably. It gets easier with time, but even then we will mess up.

This is why Jesus means everything to me. He sacrificed Himself for us; He paid the price for our past, present, and future sins. He didn't die so we could embrace our sins and continue living in our old nature. He died so that as we learn to follow Him and change our ways to His ways, we are covered by His blood even when we mess up.

Battling the flesh

Battling the flesh

Since the beginning of time, humanity has fallen into darkness. Our lack of obedience was the direct cause of sin entering our bodies. Now, we will never know what life should have been like. Instead, we are filled with selfish wants and desires. Our original nature has been altered by sin and consumed in darkness. There is only one way to find your true self/identity. That is through obedience to Christ's teachings and being safely guided back into the light with God.

It's important to understand what happened to us. When you can identify what sin is, only then can you begin to understand what battling the flesh means. For instance, you know that constant feeling of "if I just do or get this one thing, I'll be happy." Then you do or get that thing, but it doesn't make you as happy as you thought it would. Before you know it, you're out chasing the next thing and then the next. It's a cycle that repeats itself over and over again. You have to identify it so you can safely learn how to fight it.

Sin is a liar, and it steals the real us from surfacing. It makes us self-centered, manipulative, judgmental, callous, lie, steal, cheat, doubt, fear, lack self-control, make impulsive decisions, not believe in God, and have faith in ourselves over God. Every negative trait that we possess is from sin. Some people lead with their sinful nature, and others are masters at hiding it, but all possess it. There isn't a single human in the world who isn't battling their flesh in some way.

Sin is like a virus. It makes us sick over time. Most people are unaware of its nature and its effects on the mind.

If you want to put a stop to the internal suffering, you must be baptized in water and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you out of darkness. Only then will you be freed from the internal war. It is His job to turn us into the likeness of Christ. It is through the process of sanctification that we are freed from this internal war. Though we can't fight sin alone because we don't have the power to fight it. It's the Holy Spirit's job to fight the internal war and make sure we safely return to the light with God. He is our counselor, our comforter, and our ultimate source of power in fighting darkness and finding the light.

The Holy war is not only an external war, but it's also an internal war as well. Just know you don't have to fight it alone. God never intended for us to be here without Him. Thanks to the Holy Trinity, each member has a vital role in this extensive rescue mission.

Made in His image

Made In His Image

It's important to recognize how we are made in the image of God. Learning these truths made me feel connected to God in so many ways. I'm going to share with you all the ways I feel we are like Him:

- God is invisible; He created our human body to carry our invisible soul.

- There is only one God, and there is only one you and one me.

- God is a creator; we can create a life.

-God is a problem solver; we try to solve our own problems.

- God lives in the past, present, and future at all times; we are no different.

We can get stuck in the past while living and moving in the present, while thinking about future events all at once.

*So we both live in the past, present, and future.

*Human beings were created to reflect God's character and nature.

-When we think about our dreams and desires, God brings those dreams and desires to life.

* No one is manifesting their reality. Nothing lines up unless God intentionally creates it.

- God works on infinite things at once; we do too. Like God, we too have many things going on at once: Family life, raising children, maintaining our work/professional life, our personal life, managing our finances, helping our parents, stewarding our spiritual gifts, finding time for hobbies, etc.

*So, both of us have many things going on at once that we both have to take care of.

- God has infinite knowledge of good and evil; due to the fall of humanity, we are now exposed to infinite good and evil.

- God is supernatural and prefers not to use words to communicate. We, too, are always communicating with one another without using words. How often do you know what someone is thinking without them having to tell you?

* That inner knowing affects our initial response to people.

* It's otherworldly when you stop and think about it.

- God lives forever; our soul lives forever.

- God gets jealous of our attention. We get jealous all the time for people's attention.

- God is in charge of this planet. We are in charge of our lives.

- God wants to feel seen and heard. He created us so we would be seen and heard.

- God restores people; we, too, are always trying to fix someone.

- God knows everything; we think we know everything.

- God creates our desired outcome; we do whatever we can to achieve our desired outcome.

- God knows the future; we think being intuitive is our ability, and some claim to be psychic.

*God is the only one with the power to know the future.

*When we know something before it happens, it is simply God communicating with us supernaturally.

- God loves us unconditionally and refuses to give up on us, no matter what we have done; we too tend to stay in relationships regardless of whether they are good for us.

- God is perfect; deep down we are aware of what perfect should be, and that no one is doing anything perfectly.

* This inner knowledge is received from God.

* However, no one has the capacity to be perfect because of sin living in our bodies.

* Rarely do we accept this truth or extend grace for being imperfect humans.

- God can do whatever He wants; we think we too can do whatever we want.

- God created everything on this planet freely for us to enjoy; look around, and you will realize everything worthy of enjoyment is free of charge.

The reason I feel it's important to see the resemblance between God and us is that we belong together. We fit together like a beautiful puzzle. We are His, but the majority of the world is completely unaware of these truths. They think He isn't real.

Just know — He's supernatural and invisible, but once you learn how to see Him, it's impossible to deny His existence.

Nothing is a coincidence. He is always present and working in our lives.

Starting a Dear God journal

I'll never forget the day I started my Dear God journal. The lord placed it on my heart to start writing out my prayers. I didn't know what to expect. I just knew God was real because He answered a crisis prayer years earlier. I definitely didn't know anything about daily intentional prayers.

As I sat there staring at the blank page, I thought about everything going on in my life. It occurred to me that I indeed had plenty of problems to share with God. Problems that no human was ever able to solve for me. So I went for it with a let's-wait-and-see attitude. Even then, I wasn't sure God could rescue me; my problems were impossible to solve.

The prayer went like this: Dear God, will you please help me with co-parenting? I don't want to lose the bond with my oldest son.

I didn't go into detail about the situation. I just wrote down my fear and the problem. God must have been waiting a long time for me to reach out for His help! My phone rang the very next morning at 7:30 AM. It was my ex-husband; he called me to let me know that he had an idea. Saying he didn't know why he had never thought of it before, but he wanted to help me where our oldest son was concerned. Then he started crying about everything. I know my face looked like a deer in headlights. All I could think about was that God made him cry! I was so excited that the prayer was answered overnight that I had a hard time having a normal conversation with him. He went on and on, telling me all the ideas he had to reinstate my relationship with our son. Now, bear in mind, this man fought me for custody for nine years. I felt defeated time and time again because no lawyer could help me. I wasted thousands of dollars on family law attorneys. No one, and I mean no one, could win against his family.

My ex-husband ran for county commissioner years prior, and he knew everyone in the court system. Looking back, I knew I didn't stand a chance. And if that wasn't bad enough, his sister got on the stand and said, "She will murder her kids if you give her any custody." The situation was beyond repair.

I definitely didn't know what to expect when I prayed about that situation. I was defeated, and my heart was broken.

I'm sharing this with you because I want you to know that God cares about whatever you are going through. No matter how broken your situation is, He can fix it. I know because, over the last eight and a half years, I've placed numerous impossible situations in His hands through my Dear God journal, and one by one, He answered them. My life used to be surrounded by chaos and trauma. Today I am healed and have found true peace. I can honestly say I know God and that He's capable of solving any problem.

I encourage you to sit down with your journal and take some time to look around at your life. Find the broken situations and write to God. He's waiting patiently for you to turn to Him and hand whatever is broken to Him.

I promise, it doesn't matter how screwed up you think your life is, He can turn it around. You just have to take the first step.

Staying in the light

Staying in the light

Simple commands like "turn the other cheek," when obeyed, keep us safely in the light with God. When we fight back with anyone, we fall into darkness with that person. "Turn the other cheek" wasn't commanded so we would come across as weak, or to let people walk all over us. It's to keep us safely in the light.

Not only did Jesus tell us how to find the light. He gave us follow-up care on how to stay in the light once we find it. I've learned that everything Jesus taught us was about finding and staying in the light with God. This is why our obedience to all of Christ's teachings is essential for success.

Jesus taught me the why behind this command, and once He did, everything started making sense. I also learned that people in darkness are completely unaware of the Holy War going on around them. The enemy loves to mess with anyone finding the light. He will work through people to ensure we fall back into darkness with him.

We have to learn to allow God to fight our battles for us. In every situation, it doesn't matter how big or small. The war is happening in real time, and we can't afford to be made to look foolish. We need to focus on becoming educated regarding the teachings of Christ. Once the teaching is learned and understood, you then need to obey it and implement it in your life immediately. It's up to you where you ultimately want to reside, in the light with God or in darkness with the enemy.

Honor and obey your parents

Honoring and obeying our parents

When it came to honoring and obeying my parents, I remember thinking, surely that doesn't mean I have to obey everything they tell me to do. After all, I was in my late thirties and a grown adult. I wasn't sure how this teaching would unfold in my life. Nonetheless, I was ready to conquer this teaching and move on to the next one.

I love my parents, but we have had some pretty difficult times getting on the same page. I didn't like being told how to live my life. And they were notorious for giving me their opinion on everything. Still, I agreed I would honor and obey them.

It didn't take long for me to realize that I hadn't healed from the past. Listening to them tell me what to do brought feelings I wasn't ready to deal with to the surface. I realized quickly I wasn't capable of living out this teaching on my own.

I started spending more time with the Lord. I cried a lot about the past hurts I had experienced and how I wasn't sure I would ever get to a place of true forgiveness.

That's when I learned it wasn't about me. The big picture was and still is the same. If I wanted to get out of darkness, I had to implement this teaching. As I searched for a way to look at the situation, I skimmed through my life back to my childhood. I realized I was the cause of all my suffering over the years. All stemmed from my failure to honor and obey my parents. Something I should have done as a child but refused to do. I also learned I had the victim mentality and was living in the past. That they were only trying to keep me safe. My life choices had strained our relationship. Now, I was in my late thirties, trying to go back and undo the damage.

So, I switched things up. I told God I was going to honor and obey my parents to prove to Him I was serious and could do it. I knew I couldn't do it for myself, but I knew God was watching, and I took that teaching as a challenge accepted. After all, it was a lot easier to do something for God than to do it for me.

One by one, whenever my parents told me to do something, I did it. I didn't like it one bit, but I was determined to prove that I could be obedient to God's ways. I did everything they told me to do. I bought the car they said I should get, and I put the kind of gas my dad said to use. Whatever they suggested, I did it.

Then, something miraculous happened. Over time, they went from telling me what to do to saying how proud they were of me. They were impressed by how put together my life was. Never in all my years did I ever hear those words from them. Love and respect had been restored.

God taught me so much throughout that season. Not only did my family and I heal from past traumas, but the Lord's teachings also brought so many beautiful truths to the surface.

Breakthrough and restoration occur when we are obedient to God's ways. He can't fix a situation unless we are willing to do things His way.

I learned that my parents wanted to feel loved and respected. And that I wanted to feel seen and heard. We both got what we wanted, and today our relationship has healed in ways I never knew were possible.

I encourage you to give God's ways a chance. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for Him. After all, it's about the walk home and getting back into the light. You will never experience true healing until you surrender to the one who loves you.

Understanding The Holy Trinity

The Holy Trinity

The Trinity is a supernatural PowerHouse of unconditional love. If you decide you want to return to the light with God, each member will have a specific role in your life as you embrace this spiritual journey back home.

Every person's story will be different depending on what you've been through and the circumstances of your life. Expect BIG things to happen. Each member works simultaneously to restore everything in your life, both externally and internally. The walk home is filled with so much love and understanding. You can't help but feel you are finally home.

God the Father - Author and creator of life. It is He who works externally in all areas of your life. He loves the real you more than words can describe. He's not mad about anything you've ever been through or done. He wants to show you what life is like when He is part of your world. There are many ways you can learn to see Him: he answers prayers, He's always lining things up for us, doors opening or closing, delays, coincidences, innermost heart's desires, associations, and many, many more. He isn't hard to find once you start paying attention.

Jesus Christ - He was the only supernatural being to ever incarnate and live out a perfect human life in the light. Because He was pure light, He couldn't fall into darkness. His Father sent Him here to show us the path to take so that we could return to the light with God. He came here to guide "His" people home. Meaning all of us who want to know the truth, live out the truth, and be freed from all the lies that reside within darkness.

If you decide you want to get safely back into the light with God, Jesus will be the one who walks you home. It's the only true, authentic spiritual journey a person can take. He teaches supernaturally and often switches up His teaching style. You can expect to feel every emotion. As you walk together, your relationship will grow deeper. Jesus will share different aspects of Himself and the world; you will also learn things about yourself that you never knew existed. It's important to reflect on your experiences because some lessons are learned through real-world scenarios. He may even bring you up "supernaturally" to meet the Father, if you're interested. Truly, there is no human experience comparable to walking home with Jesus.

The Holy Spirit has many roles in our lives. I feel His primary role is to restore all the internal problems within us. It is His job to turn us into the likeness of Christ. Over time, our exposure to darkness has changed who we were originally created to be. All of our heartbreak and past trauma will need time to be healed. Some pain doesn't heal overnight, but know that nothing you have done or have been through could ever make Him leave you. He will sit with you and let you open up as you feel ready. Just know that when you let out your true feelings, that's when your inner healing begins. So, be patient with yourself; it's not a race to the finish line.

Since The Beginning

Since the beginning of time, God has been working endless hours to restore a lost and broken world to Himself. There is no one greater than Jesus Christ. Thanks to our Lord and Savior, we now know the way home. Throughout all of history, there has never been a family as fierce a protector as the Holy Trinity. Together, they are the ultimate Powerhouse. Their seamless unity has borne the weight of this planet's storyline throughout history.

I am beyond honored to share my Biblical insights and wisdom — As all credit goes to Christ Himself.

Learning the truth about this planet's storyline has been, by far, the most important information I've ever received. Since the beginning of time, we've all been given free will. It's up to us to decide where we want to reside. In darkness, or choose to get back into the light with God. The only way back into the light with God is to follow Jesus. He is the only person who taught us the way back. Once we decide where we want to live, you have to realize that obedience is the only way for us to return home. We have to make a choice. Throw out our own ways of doing things and obey Christ's teachings. Meaning, turn away from the way we used to live our lives. In Biblical days, they used wording such as "pick up righteousness" and "live a life of purity."

I feel the world has ruined us with its worldly terminology. I have learned that to live righteously means to do things God's way. From a Biblical standpoint, His ways can feel strict. But as I took time to get to know God, He taught me the why behind His ways. Those truths are beautiful. His ways protect us from getting hurt by people. As well as keeping us from unintentionally hurting others. They put Him back at the center of our lives. I realized we can't have a real relationship with God if we put ourselves before Him. That makes it impossible to do right by Him.

Over time, I started to understand the meaning of "God doesn't change." He's the same God now as He was from the beginning of time. Which also means this planet was designed to operate fully in the light, with Him.

Getting out of darkness

I have to be honest, it's not easy to hear that we are living in darkness. In fact, no one wants to hear those words. But it's true. Thankfully, Jesus ensured that I made the right connections regarding Biblical doctrine. I can promise you that the way He taught me is nothing like what we hear about at church or from Biblical scholars. You are either living in darkness with the enemy or walking in the light with God. There is no in-between.

Jesus' ways are simple to understand. They are easy to put into practice, but most importantly, your journey back into the light becomes a beautiful walk home with the Lord.

There are just a few simple things you need to know to make your walk successful. You need to understand that God will never ask you to do anything. You have free will to choose whether to stay in darkness or follow Jesus back into the light with God.

When you decide to follow Jesus back into the light, the enemy will start to come after you. You can't get back into the light unless you have the Holy Spirit within you. Your safety is everything to God. That is why He wanted us to have the Holy Spirit. He is our guide back into the light. He gives us supernatural strength to endure the challenges that we will face.

There are some important steps you will need to take. Make sure you are baptized. There are many theories about receiving the Holy Spirit and Baptism. Some churches say you receive Him the moment you become a believer. Some say you have to be baptized by water. I have learned that finding the light can be dangerous and that it's not safe to risk the wrong theory when it comes to receiving the Holy Spirit. It blows my mind that there are ministers and preachers out there saying their way is the absolute truth. The Bible shows Jesus being baptized by John in the Jordan River. Then the Holy Spirit descended from heaven. I say, don't take a chance on this topic; believe and get water baptized.

Jesus is our example of what it means to live in the light. He taught us how to walk and stay in the light. I can promise you that every teaching has to become the way you live your life. If you choose to cherry-pick scripture and do things your own way, like only following a couple of teachings, you will remain in darkness. Jesus taught me that there is no cherry-picking in His teachings. We must obey all the teachings; that's how we get in the light. Also, it's more than believing in Him, and it's more than having faith in HIm.

"Faith without works is dead." - James 2:26. Meaning: belief and faith cannot walk you out of darkness; you have to take action through obedience. The only way to enter the light is to obey Christ's teachings and choose to follow Him daily. Every teaching obeyed brings you one step closer to the light.

Have a well-thought-out plan. Here's an example:

-Get water baptized. It's the Holy Spirit's job to teach you everything Jesus taught.

-Allow the Holy Spirit to become your best friend. Talk to Him every day about everything going on in your life.

-Write down the Ten Commandments.

-Write down all of Christ's teachings

-Highlight any teachings that you already obey and are implementing daily in your life.

-Choose what teaching you want to start with and ask the Holy Spirit to help keep you biblically aligned.

-Learn God's ways.

-Start a Dear God journal. Write out your prayers so that when He answers them, you have a record. Trust me, you will want to go back and read everything ya'll have been through together.

-Create a prayer routine and learn how to pray as you are walking back into the light.

Recite the Lord's Prayer every morning along with any intentional prayers you have for the day.

Just know that no one will have the same experience while walking out of darkness with the Lord. It's a personal journey designed specifically for you and what you've been through. Though, looking back, I wish I had done a few things differently. Maybe hearing where I went wrong will help you avoid making the same mistakes.

I wish I had just committed to obedience from the start. I wasted a lot of time gathering information, thinking that was what it was all about. Knowing the truth doesn't walk us out of darkness.

Obedience brought the real me to the surface, and instead of embracing my true self, I often tried to hide due to feeling shame and discomfort. All my life, I ran from negative emotions, but this journey required me to be honest and face the truth. I wish someone had told me not to run from the negative feelings and that the Lord would heal me once the truth surfaced. Also, when you want to understand why you are the way you are, know that the Lord will give you the reasons why. The truth is freeing, and that is when real healing takes place.

* Let me state that while I was working on implementing the teachings. I took a good look at my life and all the areas that felt broken. I started praying for God's help to restore those areas of my life. Looking back, I realize that while the Lord was working on me internally, God was restoring every area of my external life.

Please note that there is nothing more exciting than watching God do the impossible.
