God Designed the Brain
One of my very first teachings from God was regarding the brain. I had suffered three major brain traumas in just a five-year time period. As I was desperately searching for how to put myself back together, God spoke to my spirit. He was adamant about letting me know He designed the brain, and if I listened to Him, I would make a full neurological recovery. He let me know that if I wanted to heal, I needed to follow Jesus' teachings and commit to doing life His way.
I learned that due to our fallen nature, we are all born into darkness. I was taught that living in darkness causes the brain to work in the opposite direction from how it was originally designed to operate.
The easiest way to explain this is that when the brain is walking in the light, it operates in an outward motion; it is being selfless, "putting others above itself" — its original design. But when the brain is walking in darkness, it is operating in an inward mode, meaning it has become self-centered and focused on the self, which leads to neurological decline.
When we choose to follow Jesus and do things His way, He leads us back into the light with God. In the light, the brain renews itself back to its original blueprint.
You see, my brain was completely shattered due to having a T.B.I., a cerebellar stroke, and a medical malpractice overdose on cortisone steroid injections. I was told I may never recover.
When God told me He designed the brain, He became my only hope for making a full recovery.
After years of receiving visions and studying the Word, I realized I wasn't getting any better. Also, things felt quiet where the Lord was concerned.
I started writing everything down, and that's when I realized Jesus was waiting for me to obey the teachings He was giving me. It wasn't about memorizing what to do and knowing the scriptures. It was about living them out daily.
He wasn't going to teach me anything else until I put into practice what He had already taught me.
So, I went back to the first vision He gave me. It was for me to do for others. To become selfless. As I reflected on that teaching, I felt God say, "This is how I originally intended the brain to work. From a selfless state of mind. "
The next phase of my journey started moving quickly. Obedience was finally understood in a way that ultimately led me to realize that the light is a real place spiritually, and that by entering it, my brain would finally heal.
Now, I look back knowing there were five years when I lived in horrible psychosis, juggling my mental health, personal life, children, and career. I was in and out of doctors' offices, trying desperately to find a combination of medications to control all of my neurological problems, and even with medications, I struggled to find stability due to all the terrible side effects. All while staying glued to God and the Trinity, following their lead as best I could.
For what it's worth, it has taken me close to nine years to learn and obey all of the information God has given me. I feel that ninety-nine percent of my neurological problems have been resolved. I know firsthand that mental illness does not live in the light. I also learned that my negative T.B.I. symptoms disappeared in the light.
It's so simple: the brain deteriorates in darkness and thrives in the light.
When we choose to remain in darkness doing things our own way, the brain works in the opposite direction it was created for. Over time, the brain begins to deteriorate. Things as small as anxiety and depression eventually lead to more serious mental health problems. The only way to reverse the neurological damage is by following Jesus and getting into the light with God.
Please note that for many years, medication was necessary. The meds slowed my brain down so I could stay focused on Jesus and implement His teachings. Over time, I witnessed clarity being restored in ways the meds never could achieve. Once I knew for certain I was walking in the light, I started tapering off the meds.
You do not have to stay in darkness and continue suffering in silence. We have free will to decide where we want to live. If you decide you want to get in the light but don't know where to start, book a free session with me. I am always happy to help.
